Did you know that Michaël Savard, who works at Canmec La Baie, built a wheelchair for Charli, a dog whose back legs are paralyzed?
Thanks to help from his boss, who authorized him to take stainless steel scraps, Michaël started working on this ingenious design.
‘This type of chair is worth $400 on the market’, explains Catherine, owner of the dachshund that suffers from a herniated disc.
The chair is very useful to get the dog moving and it didn’t take Charli very long to master it. The dog can back up, turn and run with great ease. When the family takes Charli out on the streets of Saint-Honoré, heads turn and many people ask questions.
We wanted to introduce you to Michaël and to his work which was able to improve the life of this little dachshund.
